This app is super buggy on the S23 Ultra. Every time you change the orientation, it goes black and rebuffers. Every time you put it in mini screen it goes black and rebuffers. Sometimes when you minimize the screen to show when you're multitasking, it goes black and rebuffers. Right now writing this comment, I hear the audio but the mini box is not visible. Lol. It has been like this the whole 2024 season. I don't think the app developers care or know about this problem.

This app is broken. When it works it's fine, not great but fine. It's slow but functional. But when it doesn't work I can't watch the games that are shown locally in my area from the phone app or when logged into a browser. Fortunately I can watch it on cable. When the issue occurs the only thing I can do is reinstall the app and stay signed out, it let's me watch the whole game that the app thinks is out of network. But as soon as I sign in, the game becomes listen only. Support was no help.

It's a buggy mess, from the app startup to switching tabs. There are just issues everywhere. Sometimes the font in articles will be different colors, sometimes the articles won't load properly l. Streaming games is a hassle sometimes and will close the app at times. Update: 2025 and the app is still trash. in fact it's gotten worse, probably the worst it's ever been. I've used this app since 2011-2012 and its best year was 2013. since then it's been half functioning and FILLED with bugs.

SEPT 2021: Freezes a lot! I've had to download separate network apps because this app freezes/buffers too much. I keep missing the games so 1 star. Also, I don't like that Redzone isn't included anymore for VZW! JAN 2022: This app is still horrible. Still freezes and buffers. It's so bad that I just turn it off. It's frustrating when the NFL has so much money! Take .05 per ticket to fix this app! JAN 2025: Years later and still buffers/freezes. The NFL is super cheap. I pay money for this app!

2025 review. App is slow to load a lot and honestly doesn't offer much anyway. For an authentic NFL app it's not updated quickly with current news, and schedules and breakdowns just aren't there. Espn or just Facebook itself will give me the most up to date news and scenarios so there isn't really anything this app does but take up space. No exclusive content or first for breaking news. It lags behind everyone else.

This app just continues to get worse. Not only is it insanely slow, but every single time you watch anything, in about 2 minutes, you can't tap on the screen, back out, or anything. So any time I want to switch to a different game, I have to force close, then reopen the app. On top of that, I continuously get a request to join nfl+ when I tap on a live game. The thing is, I pay for it already... It's going on 2 years now of the same issues.

The app looses connection, graphics go black or glitches. Full screen flashes and often only get a half screen. Doesn't like when switching to another app as when coming back the graphics are frozen. On a phone, about half the time doesn't recognize you turned the phone sideways. Trying to switch between broadcast games doesn't recognize the new game. Feels the NFL wants you to gets some other subscription. If there were any other options for an app would uninstall this immediately!

Updating my review to say, after a lifetime of watching football, this app has killed almost all my love for football. The price and frustration with a half-assed app that barely does what it's supposed to do on a good day, and that they've made it so I have to spend hundreds to watch a full season, I'm all done. I'll watch highlights on Reddit and have a more fulfilling experience. Don't spend money on this and maybe, in a few decades, they'll stop doing this.

This is the worst. Streaming app I have ever had. It feels like the issues are deliberate. Making a game go full-screen takes far too many attempts. Actually clicking anything takes several attempts. Sometimes, like today, when it goes into fullscreen it shrinks down to the corner with only half the image showing. This app isn't user-friendly and extremely clunky. Frustrated and dissatisfied! I'm pissed I'm spending money for this!

Keeps on crashing my phone. Video rotates but only freezes or replays the last 5 seconds. It's automatically flips perspectives while laying still. Tried locking screen rotation. Now it only crashes the app randomly. Now, I'm only logged in on my TV and phone. I have one or the other on, never at the same time. I keep getting errors saying I'm watching on too many devices. What? Is one device too many? It's getting time to find an illegal source to watch games!

When you can actually get your app to recognize your subscription it's no problem. Unfortunately, it's hit-or-miss getting the different platforms to recognize your subscription. Mine works fine on my phone by default. After a lot of tinkering, I got the website to work but now it does not work on my firestick. I'm logged into the NFL account with the only email I have but it just sometimes does not recognize NFL Plus and I can't watch content I paid for.

Every time in landscape view when the broadcast goes to commercial the video freezes. Still the worst streaming sports app. Want to check stats during a game? You have to exit the stream because picture-in-picture stops streaming after less than a minute. Going from PIP to full screen, the stream stops. Whenever you change the screen format it goes back in time and you have to restart the stream. Absolutely no customer support. Nice to be a monopoly.

This app is terrible. The scores are blurred out so you cant open the app to check the scroes. The picture in picture doesnt work it just closes the app, when ever you move your phone it flips the screnn and stops the feed and then picks up 30 seconds back so now there is a delay. With how much the NFL makes you would think they xould fix the issues. THIS APP IS GARBAGE.

You'd think a multi-billion dollar company's app would be amazing but they clearly don't care if it works or not. It is slow and when it finally brings up a game it will close after a couple minutes and will continue to do so over and over again. Also, paying for NFL+ gets you almost nothing. Only 1 or 2 live games available without needing an additional subscription from NFL (NFL+ is already $100). Since the app doesn't work you can't watch any of the replays because it will crash every time.

If this was a free app where you can watch any game anytime, I'd understand the bugs, but considering you either have to pay in app or have season tickets to a team to use this app.. I don't understand how a streaming service can have so many problems, commercials freeze the app, sometimes it doesn't want to rotate, doesn't want to play at all for multitasking. Overall bad streaming service considering how much money the NFL brings in and how much we spend too watch the games

Quite possibly the worst streaming app possible. Video freezes every 30 seconds and you have to completely close/reopen the app to get it to work again. Combined with the ads in RedZone and I'm just gonna buy Sunday Ticket next year because this has been the most garbage streaming subscription service I have ever used.

NFL is really setting the bar impossibly low with this garbage platform. Been subscribed for 3 years, and each year they find new ways to disappoint. Buggy and prone to crashing on the 3 different devices I'm forced to jump between. Games have entire drives cut out of them. They take forever to remove commercials. There is no support whatsoever. Good luck finding anything remotely close to your issue on the troubleshoot page, or even web search. Final straw today was only Spanish games available

This app is so frustrating! The design is very confusing and infuriatingly hard to navigate. Virtually every week, I'm convinced that my team's game isn't available! Closing and opening doesn't solve it. It appears that only reinstalling can overcome it. On a more positive note, the stability of the streaming is significantly improved this season. Please simplify the damn design! Like, open the app with "Today's Available Games" that clicks open to one's choice.

Does okay for mobile. Purchased + plan so I could watch games on home TV but cannot until after games. This needs changed. Now after game views seem to crash throughout games. the app won't go to resume so you can continue from where the crash occurred so you have to start from the beginning. If the game crashes at end of 3rd quarter , which has happened 3 times this week, so the options are to watch from beginning or fumble, laggingly, 30 seconds at a time to get where you was.

Very inconsistent performance. Mostly, it's been good, but today watching a game, the commercial breaks ran about 3 minutes and each time, when coming back from break, 3-4 minus had run down on the game clock. I missed a LOT of action. Finally, the last 5 minutes of the game was just gone. This is just a really ridiculous glitch in the program. You'd think after so many decades of being in business, the NFL would find a way to make the most basic technology work properly.
